But inevitably, I get enraptured by this universe, and my entire life begins to revolve around the show’s daily 9 p.m. episode launch. Suddenly, nothing else matters. I will not miss the episode. I will not be late. I will not risk having the day’s events spoiled for me on TikTok or Instagram. I must watch each shocking relationship moment unfold in real time. This season’s cast was one of my personal favorites. The casting team really “did their big one” with this group. Cast members like Trinity, Bryce, Melanie, and Kayda effortlessly wormed their way into my heart, and I became intensely invested in each [reality star](https://www.tawnymagazine.com/my-thoughts-on-the-dancing-with-the-stars-season-35-cast-pairings/) and all of their relationship and friendship dynamics. I will admit, when the finale came out, I wondered what I was going to do with myself. These people’s lives had been occupying my brain for much of the summer. So I’m not ashamed to admit that when the reunion dropped, all of my other priorities went out the window. This was everything to me. The [*Love Island USA*](https://www.peacocktv.com/stream-tv/love-island?ref=tawnymagazine.com) Reunion premiered on Aug. 31 and gave us two hours of interviews, drama, unseen footage, and incredible fashion and beauty looks. I have questions, I have comments, I have opinions. The reunion was no different. Madix looked stunning in a yellow, bejeweled Versace gown. During the show, we mostly see our cast members in bikinis and casual eveningwear, but for the reunion, everyone was dressed to the nines. My personal favorite outfit came from Melanie. She looked absolutely ethereal in a vintage silver Christian Dior beaded silk gown. The rest of the core four also delivered iconic looks. Trinity shined in a silver fringe dress from Alexandre Vauthier’s Spring 2022 Couture collection, while Aniya wore a beige silk chiffon gown from Datt and Kayda sported a strapless red mini dress from LEAU. After seeing them in more natural beauty looks for much of the summer, some of the cast members looked almost unrecognizable. Bronzer was in full force, lips were lined and glossed, and colorful eyeshadow accentuated the girlies’ beautiful eyes. And apparently, leaving the villa also meant it was time for a hair transformation. Kayda’s short, straight locks turned into long, wavy extensions, Bea’s light brown hair became a sultry brunette blowout, and Kenzie’s blonde bangs were swapped for shiny, voluminous curls. While I loved seeing my girls all done up for the reunion, I found myself missing the understated vacation makeup looks I had grown accustomed to seeing on my screen. I literally cried when Aniya passed up Carl for KC, who returned to the villa from Casa Amor with Titi on his arm. My social media feed was flooded with KC and Titi memes, and my heart absolutely broke seeing Aniya stand alone while the majority of the OG couples reunited. Throughout the reunion, the cast members attempted to resolve their unfinished business. They discussed the toxic and manipulative way Sincere moved in the villa, Kenzie’s tendency to keep two guys on the hook, and what became of Corbin and Parmida’s “we’re just so hot and everyone else is jealous” pairing. So much drama was covered in those two hours, but I have a few highlights. --- Kenzie absolutely broke down over her unbalanced friendship with Mel, an emotional moment that ended with the two girls agreeing to repair their relationship and talk through their issues. Then there was Sol insisting she had been isolated in the villa, despite unseen footage revealing a close, intimate moment between her and Melanie, where Mel promised to be there for her regardless of the strange Sincere love triangle. And then KC and Titi downplayed Bryce and Trinity’s relationship. Strange behavior considering Brinity were our undisputed winners and consistent fan favorites. Yes, the reunion did provide some closure. I had been dying to know what would happen to my beloved couples once they exited the *Love Island* bubble and tried out their relationships in the real world. I must say, many of my predictions did come true. Corbin and Parmida were never gonna last, Bryce and Trinity are my forever it-couple, and Carl and Aniya got the fairytale ending she definitely deserved. But there is still so much that remains unsolved. **I am eagerly awaiting *Beyond the Villa*, where we’ll get a look into the daily lives of our favorite Islanders and truly see if their relationships can stand the test of time.**
